Cycling's Tour of Britain takes place between Tuesday 29 August and Sunday 3 September and the BBC will bring you highlights and live coverage of the prestigious event.

This year will be the third year of the race since it was revived in 2004.

Last year Belgium's Nick Nuyens, riding for Quickstep, won the individual race as well as leading the squad to the top team position.

The race begins in Glasgow before winding its way through Scotland and England and eventually finishing with a 51-mile stage between Greenwich and The Mall in central London.

The action is on BBC Two's Sunday Grandstand on 3 September with race highlights at 1430 before the final stage is broadcast live from 1540.

If you prefer, you can watch the highlights and final stage coverage on this website.
