Britain's Bradley Wiggins will make his Tour de France debut this year after being named in the Cofidis team.
Wiggins could be wearing the leader's yellow jersey after the prologue
The Olympic pursuit champion will be among the favourites for the prologue when the race gets under way on 1 July.
Cofidis general manager Eric Boyer has also included established performers David Moncoutie, Cristian Moreni, Ivan Parra and Rik Verbrugghe in his squad.
"It's a team of fighters and escapees who have already won at the highest level," enthused Boyer.
