Banned Millar eyes 2006 comeback
David Millar
Millar was hoping to return to competitive cycling this year
Cyclist David Millar has confirmed his intention to return to the saddle in 2006 after completing a two-year doping ban next June.

The 28-year-old Scot was suspended in 2004 after he admitted taking the blood-booster EPO.

The former Tour de France stage winner is studying a number of offers but is yet to make a decision on his future.

"I've been training very hard and I hope to make a successful return to racing in 2006," he said.
