Ullrich misses Belgian race

Jan Ullrich has decided to pull out of Sunday's World Cup race in Liege.

The 30-year-old German admits he is far from his best at the moment, with some suggesting he is overweight.

"His focus points for the Tour de France are now the Tour of Germany and the Tour of Switzerland," said T-Mobile team sporting director Mario Kummer.

Ullrich's preparations for this year's Tour, which starts on 3 July, have been far from convincing as he bids to dethrone Lance Armstrong.

His latest setback came on Wednesday when he retired from the Fleche Wallonne classic.
