Tolchard named Player of the Year

Tolchard is unbeaten so far during the test series in South Africa

Torquay bowler Sam Tolchard has become the first person to ever win England's Player and Young Player of the Year awards at the same time.

The 19-year-old, who bowls at the Torquay United club, is the reigning national singles champion.

He is currently bowling for England in their test series against South Africa in Johannesburg.

Tolchard has won all his games so far, beating Duanne Abrahams 21-13 and Gerry Baker 21-3.

He is also part of England's provisional 12-man squad for the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi.
