Guernsey's Alison Merrien won all three events that she entered
Guernsey bowler Alison Merrien is getting ready to take part in the World Bowls Tour Championships.
Merrien competed in four qualifying events in Bristol late last year and did enough to make the latter stages.
She will play in the women's singles and team up with England international Andy Thomson in the mixed pairs.
"It's a world-class competition. People from all over the world are coming over, so it should be quite good," Merrien told BBC Guernsey.
Merrien begins campaign on Saturday, 17 January when she faces the US's Lorraine Hitchcock in the singles and teams up with Thomson to take on Alex Marshall & Debbie Stavrou in the pairs.
