Brampton up pressure on leaders

Brampton fought off a brave effort from bottom side Holme Head in Thursday's match to keep up their push for the Carliol Bowls League title.

A 34-23 shots tally was enough to keep up the pressure on leaders Subscription, who beat Edenside 66-45.

Courtfield were beaten by strugglers West End in a 54-53 thriller, while Dalston saw off Stanwix 64-43.

In the rearranged games Brampton lost 63-54 to Subscription and British Rail beat Holme Head 61-45.
