Milton Keynes Lions have made their seventh new addition ahead of the new season, with the signing of centre Frank Holmes. The centre takes up his first pro position after impressing at the University of Alabama Birmingham. Lions' Head Coach, Vince Macaulay, said "Frank will give us extra power inside while being very agile in and around the basket". The Lions season starts on Friday at home against Worcester Wolves. At UAB, Holmes played alongside NBA-bound teammates Walter Sharpe, at the Detroit Pistons, and Robert Vaden, drafted this summer to Oklahoma City. Standing at 6'9", Holmes averaged six points and six rebounds for his career at Alabama as the Blazers went to two NCAA tournaments and an NIT in his time there Holmes joins Robert Youngblood, Mike New, Yorick Williams, and Dru Spinks on this year's team alongside new faces, Irmantas Griksas, Craig Pringle, Maximillion Simon and EJ Harrison.
