Worcester Wolves have completed their first signing of the summer by bringing in American guard Chey Christie. Wolves head coach Chuck Evans told BBC Hereford and Worcester: "Chey is very athletic, a talented swingman and a natural shooter. "Chey is like a quiet assassin as he is very efficient offensively and able to score in a variety of ways from different locations on the court." The 26-year-old began his college career with Clemson University. He transferred from the NCAA Division One side in South Carolina and graduated from the University of South Alabama in 2006. He played 31 games for the Jaguars as he led them to the Sun Belt Conference championship title, where he was named the most valuable player of the tournament. Christie was selected to represent the United States in the 2001 Global Games where he averaged over 15 points per game in five matches while shooting 11 for 18 from behind the arc. The Wolves hope to further add to the squad soon with another announcement expected in the next few days.
