Everton Tigers get their season under way against the London Capitals on Friday evening with high hopes of breaking into the top four.
The Tigers managed to finish in the play-offs in their first season last year and want to go a step further.
"The top four gives us home advantage in the play-offs," Tigers assistant Henry Mooney told BBC Radio Merseyside.
"I think we have a great chance of doing that. Our goal this season as well is to win something this year."
Its the Capitals up first on Friday before travelling to Leicester on Saturday to play the Riders.

Mooney and Everton are wary of what is ahead of them as they gear up for the visit of the London side at Greenbank.
"We don't know too much about them," Henry continued.
"Their roster changes during the games and they have played three games and have lost them all. So I'm hoping for a victory on Friday."
