Murray stays on at Scottish Rocks

The Scottish Rocks have agreed a new one-year deal with Gareth Murray.

The forward has just captained Scotland to third place in the European Championships (Division C), leading the team in points, steals and blocks.

Murray, averaged 7.3 points and 4.3 rebounds per game during the 2007/08 campaign and is looking forward to his fourth season at The Rocks.

However, guard Maurice Hampton has rejected a new contract in favour of a move to the Czech Republic.

"Gareth has a lot of weapons, so we just need to fill out the rest of the team and get the system in place so he has a chance to do what he can do," said player/coach Sterling Davis.
