BBL champions Guildford have bolstered their attack by signing star centre Carlton Aaron from Plymouth Raiders.
Aaron was named MVP in Plymouth's BBL Trophy Final success in March, scoring 25 points and snatching 12 rebounds.
The New Yorker also won a place on the BBL All-Star Team after averaging 16.9 points and 12.4 rebounds per game.
Aaron said: "It hurts to be leaving Plymouth, but playing in Europe (with the Heat) I get to test myself against some of the best players in the world."
The Heat won the league and the BBL Cup last season, yet occasionally suffered from a lack of inside presence.
Guildford head coach Paul James said: "Last season we were not as strong as I would have liked in and around the basket.
"Carlton's stats speak for themselves, so being able to add the most dominant big man in the league to our roster is just fantastic."
