In Miami, Sudanese forward Luol Deng scored 26 points on his 21st birthday as the Chicago Bulls beat the Heat 117-93 to advance to the post-season.
The result means Orlando cannot now progress from the Eastern Conference.
Philadelphia are still alive, but one more loss or one more win by Washington would mean the Wizards go forward.
