Ouseph is Britain's big hope in Paris

Briton Rajiv Ouseph will face world number one Lee Chong Wei in the World Championships third round following a 21-12 25-23 win over Jan O Jorgensen. After easing through the first game, US Open winner Ouseph found himself 23-22 down before eventually sealing victory. "The win means a lot because this is my first World Championships," said the 23-year-old British number one. Britain's other men's singles hopeful, Carl Baxter, went down 21-18 21-17 to ninth seed Boonsak Ponsana of Thailand. Nathan Robertson and Jenny Wallwork reached the last 16 of the mixed doubles by beating Bulgaria's Stilian Makarski and Diana Dimova 21-9 21-12.

Olympic silver medallist Robertson also enjoyed success in the men's doubles as he and Anthony Clark overcame Vitaliy Konov and Dymytro Zavadsky of Ukraine 21-11 21-9.
