Fantastic England shine at Worlds
Donna Kellogg and Anthony Clark
Kellogg and Clark eased through their semi-final encounter
Nathan Robertson and Gail Emms will meet Anthony Clark and Donna Kellogg in an all-English mixed doubles final at the World Championships in Spain.

Robertson and Emms had to dig deep to see off Thai pair Sudket Prapakamol and Saralee Thungthongka 21-18 17-21 25-23.

Clark and Kellogg had an easier time, beating Malaysian duo Koo Kien Keat and Wong Pei Tty 21-14 21-12.

Clark then joined forces with Robert Blair to reach the final of the men's doubles in Madrid.

They beat Denmark's former world champions Lars Paaske and Jonas Rasmussen 23-21 17-21 21-17 to set up a meeting with top seeds Cai Yun and Fu Haifeng from China.

"If someone had told me before these championships that I would win a bronze I would have settled for that, but to be in two finals is unbelievable," said Clark.

"At the Commonwealth Games, people saw me on TV and said I looked fat. So I have cut out chocolate, takeways and things like that and I am eating healthier and I have lost a stone.

"I spoke to the dieticians and they have worked out how I could lose the weight without losing my strength. I am eating lots of salads and I'm avoiding eating anything bad."

Top seeds Gao Ling and Huang Sui from China won a third women's doubles world title with a 23-21 21-9 victory over compatriots Zhang Yawen and Wei Yili.

In the men's singles, Bao Chunlai of China beat Korean Lee Hyun-il 21-15 21-19 to reach his first World Championship final.

Bao, who won last month's Korean Open, cruised through the first game thanks to his superior control at the net and then kept his nerve to ensure an all-Chinese final against Lin Dan.

Lin, the world number two, fought back from a game down to overpower compatriot Chen Hong 15-21 21-19 21-14 in his semi-final.

Top seed and world number one Zhang Ning swept past Germany's Petra Overzier 21-19 21-11 to remain on course to regain the women's singles crown she won in 2003.

She will meet champion Xie Xingfang, who cruised to a 21-12 21-10 win over world number two Xu Huaiwen of Germany in the other semi.
