The Dolphins have traded Ted Ginn Jr. to the San Francisco 49ers in exchange for a fifth-round pick. Ginn disappointed during his time in Miami after being drafted in 2007. Full story: Sports Illustrated

Donovan McNabb has been traded to the Washington Redskins in exchange for a pair of draft picks. The emergence of Kevin Kolb was enough for Philadelphia Eagles chairman Jeffrey Lurie to decide the veteran quarterback needed to be moved on. Full story: Sports Illustrated

And another QB has been moved on in St Louis, where nine-season veteran Marc Bulger has been released. Does this mean the Rams will be looking to draft quarterback Sam Bradford with the first pick of the draft? Full story:


NFL owners have voted to allow each team a possession in overtime in the playoffs if the team winning the OT coin toss kicks a field goal on the first series.

Defensive end Julius Peppers has signed a six-year deal with the Chicago Bears. Peppers signed for a paltry contract worth only £60 million. Full story: ESPN

Running back LaDainian Tomlinson has also signed a two-year deal with the Jets having been released by the Chargers.

Derek Anderson has joined the Arizona Cardinals knowing he begins as the backup quarterback to Matt Leinart.

Quarterback Jake Delhomme has joined the Cleveland Browns as he decided he wanted to play rather than sit on the bench all season for the Carolina Panthers. Full story: ESPN
