Super Bowl - Steelers defence

Defence has been key to Pittsburgh's five previous Super Bowl triumphs and the 2009 version of the "Steel Curtain" is no different, having led the league by conceding just 13.9 points per game and a miserly 237.2 yards.

"Dick LeBeau, the defensive coordinator, has the guys playing well year-in, year-out," says former Steelers cornerback Woodson.

"If they can get after Kurt Warner, make him rush and throw the ball and turn the ball over, they have a great opportunity to win."

Linebackers LaMarr Woodley (top right, 56) and James Harrison (bottom right, 92) are equally able at covering the passing game or putting pressure on the opposing quarterback.

But the star of the show is safety Troy Polamalu (left, 43), who intercepted seven passes during the regular season and another key one during the AFC Championship victory over Baltimore.
