NFL team owners have voted to continue to fund and provide players for NFL Europe for five more years.
NFL commissioner Paul Tagliabue said: "NFL Europe is an important piece of our international development,"
The league set an attendance record by averaging 18,965 fans per game last season, up 20% from 2004.
It folded the Scottish Claymores and Barcelona Dragons, adding two more teams in Germany. There are now five German franchises and one in Amsterdam.
