Brett Favre threw four touchdown passes but could not prevent the Green Bay Packers suffering their worst NFL start in 17 years.
The Carolina Panthers held off a late rally by the Packers to clinch a 32-29 win on Monday.
Jake Delhomme threw two touchdown passes and Stephen Davis ran for two more as the Panthers built a big early lead and then held on for victory.
It is the first time since 1988 Green Bay have lost their opening four games.
