Duran and Duran are a knockout
Roberto Duran
Duran won 108 fights over five decades
The son and daughter of four-time boxing world champion Roberto Duran both fought their way to knock-out victories - on the same bill.

Irichelle, 23, took little time in defeating Marilin Hernandez from the Dominican Republic by a technical knock-out after the referee stopped the fight 52 seconds into the third round due to a cut above Hernandez's eye.

Irichelle's father was intially annoyed at his daughter's decision to take up the physical sport - but has since changed his opinion.

"At the beginning dad really didn't like it, but now he's supporting me. Maybe not 100 percent, but he's supporting me," she said at the Panama City nightclub.

Roberto Snr, who was watching his daughter fight, witnessed his son swamp his opponent Porfirio Miranda.

The fight reached its climax when another technical knock-out was awarded to Duran Jnr two minutes into the third round.

Roberto Duran Snr was a prolific boxer - winning 105 bouts in a career which spanned over five decades.
