The final round of the 2009 UK Pro Surf Tour will be held at Fistral Beach in Newquay from Saturday.

In the men's open, four surfers are all in with a chance of claiming the title, with Newquay riders Alan Stokes and Mark Harris amongst the contenders.

Stokes and Harris will have to fight off competition from Bude's Reubyn Ash and South African Reubin Pearce.

Welsh surfer Gwen Spurlock is currently on top in the women's standings, ahead of Looe's Gabi Rowe.

Director of the UK Pro Surf Tour Dave Reed said the final leg should provide intrigue right until the end.

Reed said: "This year we have seen without doubt, one of the most exciting series of events and it is fitting that it will all be decided at the tour finale in Newquay."
