Badminton stars coming to Swindon

Nathan Robertson will play for England in Swindon

International badminton returns to Swindon for the first time in a quarter of a century.

The Oasis Leisure Centre will stage England's latest warm up match for the European Championships in Liverpool.

Poland provide the opposition on 6 November with Olympic silver medallist Nathan Robertson competing along with Donna Kellogg and Anthony Clark.

Swindon was chosen to host the fixture as the district's badminton association celebrates its 50th anniversary.

Organisers expect the match to sell out.

England squad players will also be visiting Swindon's New College and Dorcan School during the day to provide coaching to youngsters.
