Giants hit seven in Edinburgh win

Player-coach Ed Courtenay scored two goals for the Giants
Belfast Giants strengthened their position at the top of the Elite League thanks to a convincing 7-2 win over Edinburgh Capitals on Saturday night.

Martin Cingel gave Edinburgh the lead but the visitors hit back with scores from Ed Courtenay, Jason Bowen, Shane Johnson and Leigh Jamieson.

Jeff Marshall got the Capitals' second but goals from Courtenay, Bowen and Shawn Skiehar secured the big margin.

The teams meet again in Edinburgh on Sunday at 1800 GMT.
