Nicola Minichiello and Jackie Davies have entered the history books by becoming the first British women to win bobsleigh World Championship medals.

The duo took silver after finishing 0.28 seconds behind Germany's Sandra Kiriasis and Anja Schneiderheinze, who won in three minutes 43.01 secs.

Kiriasis and Schneiderheinze's victory in Calgary earned them their fourth gold medal in five championships.

America's Shauna Rohbock and Val Fleming of America won the bronze.
