China has resumed work on building the 100,000-seat Olympic stadium for the Games in Beijing in 2008.

Work was halted in the summer after a redesign to cut costs which had shot up from £187m to £218m.
There will be no change to the overall style of the stadium, which will stage the opening and closing ceremonies as well as the track and field events.
The facility has bands of steel stretching in every direction, making it look like a bird's nest.
