Line Oestvold in action
Oestvold was a rising star
Snowboard star Line Oestvold died on Sunday at the age of 26 after failing to recover from head and neck injuries sustained during training in Chile.

Oestvold became the first Norwegian to win a World Cup event earlier in the year at Berchtesgaden in Germany.

Her maiden World Cup victory came in only the third event of her career and her sixth at any FIS competition level.

A second place in Italy helped her to fourth place in last season's FIS Snowboardcross standings.
