Olympic sailor dies
Olympic yachtsman Chris Timms has been killed in a plane crash in New Zealand.

The New Zealand native, winner of a gold medal in the Tornado Class at the 1984 Games in Los Angeles and a silver medal at Seoul four years later.

Timms and one other man died when a vintage French jet they were flying crashed on the North Island on Friday.

"We're all in shock", said Yachting New Zealand manager Peter Lester in tribute to Timms, who was part of a rich tradition of Kiwi sailors.
