D-day for Storm
Ivan Matulik
Matulik is no longer a Storm player

Manchester Storm owner Gary Cowan will present a rescue package to Ice Hockey Superleague officials on Tuesday.

Storm are frantically trying to raise 150,000 to meet the cost of the latest rent payment on the MEN Arena and unpaid wages to players and office staff.

They have already cancelled their last five league games while a number of players - including captain Ivan Matulik and Great Britain skipper David Longstaff - have left.

Cowan said: "I, along with colleagues, have been working endlessly to produce a package to save the Storm.

"Pending the outcome of the meeting and the decisions taken, I expect to be able to make a full announcement late on Tuesday afternoon as to the future of the Manchester Storm."
