Unlucky 13 for Bees
Ayr and Bracknell in action
Bracknell have not won a game since 6 January
By BBC Sport Online's Stuart Hughes

Bracknell Bees 1-3 Ayr Scottish Eagles

Bracknell's miserable run continued against Ayr Scottish Eagles as the Berkshire side failed to pick up a home win for the 13th time in succession.

The Eagles took the lead at Amen Corner on Wednesday evening through Ryan Risidore on the first powerplay of the evening at four minutes 59 seconds.

Blake Knox equalised 16 minutes into the second period while Dody Wood was sitting out a two-minute roughing penalty.

Mark Cadotte sent the puck from the corner to Mark Matier, who fired towards the net.

The puck caught Knox's stick before slipping over the line.

Eagles flying

Bracknell, who won their last game against Sheffield Steelers on 6 January, matched Ayr shot for shot in the third period.

Eagles, though, took the lead for the second time with a Mike Jickling tally at 56 minutes and 46 seconds.

Bracknell called a time out with a minute remaining and pulled goalie Brian Greer for the extra skater.

But Rhett Gordon dumped the puck into the empty net to give Eagles their first win in six road games.
