Queen's Logic takes impressive win
Queen's Logic races to victory in the 1405BST at Newmarket
Queen's Logic is now favourite for the 1,000 Guineas
Queen's Logic stormed to victory in the 1405BST Shadwell Stud Cheveley Park Stakes at Newmarket.

The heavily-backed favourite sped away from the field at halfway to win by a distance from Sophisticat and Good Girl.

Mick Channon's filly, ridden by Steve Drownes, made it four wins from four starts and had her odds for next year's 1,000 Guineas slashed from 14-1 to 5-2 favourite.

"She is a proper racehorse," Channon said of Queen's Logic, who had previously lifted the Queen Mary Stakes and Lowther Stakes.

"She has got such class and she has improved all year. My only worry was the ground.

"She has taken on all the best two-year-old fillies and come out the other side unbeaten."

Kinane woe

Earlier, Sir George Turner upset the favourite Landseer to win the Tattersalls Houghton Stakes at 1335BST.

Michael Kinane found himself boxed in on Landseer and wasted precious time securing a late run.

Owned by Paul Dean and ridden by Kevin Darley, Sir George Turner benefited most, holding on to win a photo finish.

Third was Desert warning, who had set the early pace.
