Raptors bite back
Vince Carter
Carter gave it his all
Toronto Raptors 101-89 Philadelphia 76ers
(Scores tied at 3-3 in the best-of-seven series)

Vince Carter's 39 points helped the Toronto Raptors defeat Philadelphia 76ers to set up a deciding Game Seven in their semi-final playoff series.

Carter made 17 of his 31 shots, including four three pointers.

It did not take long for the Raptors to grab an advantage as Carter and rookie Morris Peterson each had three-pointers in an 8-0 roll for an 18-7 lead with six-and-a-half minutes left of the first quarter.

They then built on the advantage to go into the interval 54-39 ahead.

Philadelphia struck back though Allan Iverson who scored 12 of his 20 points in the thirs quarter to reduce the lead to 70-68.

But the Raptors found an extra gear, through Peterson and Carter efforts, to win the match with relative ease.
