Defending champions New Jersey kept alive their chances of winning the Stanley Cup by beating the Maple Leafs in their semi-final series.

The Eastern Conference series is now tied at 3-3 and the Devils have Petr Sykora and Jason Arnott to thank for producing a goal and an assist each.

The front line of Sykora, Arnott and Patrik Elias has produced the goods in the last two matches, chipping in with a total of four goals and five assists.

Sykora opened the scoring 4:54 into the first period with Randy McKay and Brian Rafalski adding to the tally in the second period.

Arnott added the fourth 5:58 into the third period for the 2000 Stanley Cup champions.

Steve Thomas and Mats Sundin scored power-play goals for the Maple Leafs.

"We weren't going to go quietly," said New Jersey defenceman Ken Daneyko. "We've been in this position before.

"It's been a tough, tough series. The Leafs have played extremely well.

"Now we're back to Game Seven and anything can happen."
