Mighty Ducks fire Hartsburg
![]() The Anaheim Mighty Ducks have found the going hard
Craig Hartsburg has been fired as coach of the Anaheim Mighty Ducks.
He has been replaced by assistant Guy Charron. Hartsburg, 41, became the Ducks coach in 1998, and compiled 80 victories, 29 draws, 85 losses and three overtime losses in two-and-a-half seasons after replacing Pierre Page. This season, the Ducks are in last place in the Pacific Division, nine points behind first-place San Jose. Anaheim beat expansion Columbus 5-4 in overtime on Wednesday evening in Hartsburg's final game. Charron, 51, was hired by the Ducks last June and will serve as head coach at least until the end of the season.
