Kirsty Balfour safely booked her place in the semi-finals of the women's 200m breaststroke with a confident display.
Balfour clocked a time of two minutes 29.78 seconds to finish fourth in her heat - a couple of seconds outside her personal best.
But it was enough to see her through to Wednesday night's semi-finals as the 11th fastest qualifier.
Australian Leisel Jones won Balfour's heat in 2:26.02 while Amanda Beard won the next heat in a time of 2:26.61.
