Taiwan enjoy double gold
Chu Mu Yen beats Tamer Bayoumi in the men's semi-finals
Chu Mu Yen and Chen Shih Hsin earned double gold for Taiwan on the opening day of the taekwondo competition.

Chu beat Oscar Salazar of Mexico 5-1 in the men's under-59kg category while Chen edged Cuba's Yanelis Yuliet Labrada Diaz 5-1 in the under-49 kg.

Tamer Bayoumi of Egypt took bronze in the men's event after breating Spain's Juan Ramos 7-1.

Thailand's Yaowapa Boorapolchai beat Gladys Alicia Mora Romero of Colombia 2-1 to take the women's bronze medal.
