Athens chiefs stand firm
Ticket prices for the Athens Olympics will not be cut despite poor sales.

Fears of terrorist attacks, unfinished construction and high hotel prices mean that 3.4m of the 5.2m tickets issued are still unsold.

Fani Palli-Petralia, Greece's deputy culture minister, hinted prices could be lowered to ensure stadiums were full for the 13-29 August Games.

But Seraphim Kotrotsos, spokesman for the Athens organising committee, insisted there would be no reduction.
