Wilson heads US trials
![]() The US team line up after two days of competition
Five-times defending national champion Blaine Wilson led the qualifiers at the US Olympic Gymnastic trials.
Paul and Morgan Hamm, 17-year-old twin brothers, also joined the squad along with Stephen McCain, 1997 US junior champion Sean Townsend and three-time Olympian John Roethlisberger. Wilson, Paul Hamm, Townsend and McCain all won automatic places by finishing in that respective order at the end of the two-day trial. The other two members of the team were named by the Olympic men's coach Peter Kormann - picking sixth and seventh placed Morgan Hamm and Roethlisberger over fifth place James Natalie. |
