Goodison clinches Laser Europeans

British Olympic sailor Paul Goodison won his fourth straight European Laser title in Nieuwpoort, Belgium.

The 30-year-old from Rotherham finished as the top European sailor, but was second overall behind Australia's two-time world champion Tom Slingsby.

Goodison heads to Qingdao in China hoping to better his fourth place in the Athens Olympics in 2004.

"It’s great to have got the result in the last event before China," said Goodison.
