The Aquatics venue for the 2012 Olympics and Paralympics

The Aquatics Centre for the 2012 Olympics and Paralympics will be located in the south-east corner of the Olympic Park

Balfour Beatty won the contract to build the Centre

The venue was designed by architects Zaha Hadid and will be built by construction company Balfour Beatty

Thousands of spectators are expected at the venue during the Olympics and Paralympics

The venue will seat 17,500 spectators during the Olympic swimming and diving events
