Four Leicester players will be off to the Beijing Olympics
Leicester Ladies star Jennie Bimson says she will retire from international hockey following the Beijing Olympics.
Bimson, who has been capped 39 times by Great Britain, told BBC Radio Leicester: "It's come to a natural end. Everyone has to know when to retire.
"I've been playing for 11 years and it was a decision I was ready to make."
Bimson and four of her Leicester team-mates, travel to Spain this weekend for two Test matches ahead of next month's Olympic Games.
Crista Cullen, Ann Panter, Helen Richardson and Bimson have all been included in the Team GB squad.
Rebecca Herbert has been named in the squad for this weekend's trip to Spain but has not been included in the party to travel to Beijing.
And speaking about the the matches in Spain Bimson added: "We're still finalising a few set-pieces. Corners are really important in hockey and we've got a great corner routine; we just need to do that against some top opposition."
