Kurten to decide on Games place

Jessica Kurten has earned Ireland a place in the Olympics

Cullybackey woman Jessica Kurten has still to decide if she will represent Ireland in the Beijing Olympics.

Kurten's performances in competition have earned Ireland an individual place in the show jumping in Hong Kong.

Irish team manager Robert Splaine said he had discussed the Olympics with Kurten and that she had yet to make a definite decision on her availability.

When she does, Horse Sport Ireland will make its nomination for the place to the Olympic Council of Ireland.
