Olympic BMX track opens in Crewe
A national-standard BMX track equipped for training ahead of the 2012 Olympics has opened at Tipkinder Park in Crewe.

At a cost of over 200,000, it is one of the first floodlit BMX tracks of its type in the UK.

The track was provided by the Borough Council in association with Ghostriders BMX club and Groundwork Cheshire.

The track provides a training facility for riders such as Crewe-born Shanaze Reade, the three-time BMX world champion, at Tipkinder Park.
