Brabants was happy with his performance in a strong field
British flat water canoeist Tim Brabants continued his preparations for the Olympics by winning a bronze medal at the World Cup event in Hungary.
Brabants battled heavy rain and crosswinds to come home behind victor Adam van Koeverden and defending Olympic champion Eric Veraas Larsen.
His bronze in the K1-1km race was his second major medal this season after gold at the European Championships.
"I am very happy," said Brabants, who finished in three minutes 32.8 seconds.
"Hopefully, that's a good bench mark for the rest of the season with more to come," the Nottingham-based man added.
