Video - Taylor leads US 400m hurdle sweep
Angelo Taylor regained his Olympic 400m hurdles title in Beijing and led home an American cleansweep of medals.
The 29-year-old got off to a lightning start and was uncatchable as he crossed the line in 47.25 seconds.
World champion Kerron Clement was second ahead of 2005 world champion Bershawn Jackson.
Taylor won the event in Sydney eight years ago but failed to make it past the semi-finals in Athens in 2004 as Feliz Sanchez took the title.
Jackson was quickest out of the blocks but Taylor kicked for home down the back straight and never relinquished his lead.
He led home his compatriots for the second athletics cleansweep of the Games, following Jamaica's unprecedented medal swoop in the women's 100m.
