Great Britain Olympic medal hope Kelly Sotherton has revealed that she is likely to return to the heptathlon in time for the 2012 Games in London.
The 31-year-old - who is from the Isle of Wight and competes for Birchfield Harriers - will have a break from the multi-event format after Beijing.
She told BBC Radio Solent: "I'll probably have a couple of years off, and then go back to the heptathlon.
"I'd love to finish in London on a heptathlon, if my body holds up."
Sotherton had previously claimed she was considering concentrating in the 400m for the 2012 Games.
She added: "I've got a lot of options obviously, so I'll consider it all after Beijing, and hopefully make the right decision."
