GB men defeated in archery event

GB men's archers defeated in team event

Britain's archery woes continued when the men's team bowed out of the Olympics after a opening loss to China.

The team, consisting of Simon Terry, Alan Wills and Laurence Godfrey, went down 214-210 to the host nation.

China made their way through to the semi-finals where they will face Korea who beat Poland by scoring an Olympic record 224 points.

Italy beat Malaysia 218-213 to face Ukraine in the other semi-final who had a 214-211 win over Chinese Taipei.

On Sunday, Britain's women archers lost to France in the bronze medal play-off.
