Trindad hurdler given jump start by UK fans

Like many other young athletes, Jehue Gordon, Trinidad and Tobago's 400 meter hurdles champion, is relatively unknown to sports fans in the UK. But unlike many of the other thousands young hopefuls who will be arriving in London next year, Jehue already has a swarm of UK fans ready to cheer him on.

Hundreds of school children from two schools in the West Midlands are using Jehue as a role model to inspire their schools. Sandwell Academy and Perry Wood Primary School have been twinned with Jehue's previous schools in Trinidad through a BBC World Class and British Council project. The project links schools in the UK with schools attended by the BBC's World Olympic Dreams athletes.

Matthew Pinsent visited two of the schools to find out more.
