As a youngster, Usain Bolt represented William Knibb High School at "Champs" and this weekend he returned to watch Jamaica's athletic stars of the future
Every year before Easter, Jamaica is dominated by coverage of Champs, a four-day festival of track and field, with thousands of young athletes from over 100 schools battling it out for the title of "King" or "Queen"
Champs or the Inter-Secondary Schools Boys’ and Girls’ Championships, to give it its full name, has been running since 1910
Crowds of around 30,000 gather in their school colours to support their respective teams
Bolt initially failed to win any Champs event when he competed in the under 14 age group in 2001
However, returning two years later, aged 16, he completed a record-breaking double, winning the 200m and 400m in 20.23sec and 45.30sec respectively
