World Class 2012 in partnership with the British Council bring you the stories of the schools where the dreams begin.
The 2007 Archery World Champion and member of the South Korean team that picked up two gold medals at the Beijing Olympics. Im Dong-Hyun is hoping he can win an individual medal at London 2012.
Im Dong Hyun's schools
Starting his education at Gyodong Elementary in Cheong-ju city, Im Dong-Hyun went on to study at Wonbong Middle School then Chungbuk Physical High School.
Im Dong-Hyun says all his schools helped him in becoming the athlete he is today.
"I owe it to my primary school for allowing me to get myself familiarized to the sport. Afterwards the middle school and high school I attended were also instrumental in linking me with the best coaches and talented teammates," he says.
Gyodong Elementary School
Gyodong Elemenatry School in Cheong-ju city is located in the centre of South Korea.
Im Dong-Hyun attended the school from 1993-1998 and he is grateful for the opportunity the school gave him to begin Archery.
Pupils at Gyodong are proud of their school and its achievements, but for Mr Yun Hyo Jeong, the Principal, it is clear that it is, "the students who make the school special."
