Hockey is Pakistan's national sport and the international team's achievements include four Hockey World Cup titles and two Olympic gold medals.

In the most recent World Cup, however, the men's team came last and the poor performance prompted many of the team to resign.

Pakistan is now working to rebuild its international hockey reputation and the race is on to produce a world class side for London 2012.
